Priyanka is a London based graphic designer by profession and an artist at heart. She has developed and practised her artistic skills over the years, in her personal experience art is meditation, it heals, empowers and is a journey inward. She has been painting since a young age, and her formal education started with a Diploma in Foundation Art from L S Raheja School of Arts, where she learnt the basics of traditional drawing and painting. She graduated as a designer and illustrator from Sir J J Institute of Applied Arts, India.
Priyanka has been painting along with her full-time job, and in 2018-19 she took a year off from work to focus on painting. She is glad that she invested time and efforts into honing her skills which gave her time to contemplate and led to self-discovery. She has since started showcasing her work in group shows and aspires to have her solo exhibition in future.
Priyanka is an abstract and contemporary artist and works in acrylic and watercolour mediums. She is inspired by nature and philosophy, expressed in simple compositions, colours and patterns. She is experimenting with two distinct styles and is presenting one of the styles at the Maze of Colours exhibition.
