Wyatt Roderick Buescher is a multidisciplinary photographic artist currently seeking his MFA in photography at Parsons, The New School for Design. He earned his BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, with a major in Photography and Filmmaking. Buescher is interested in issues of line, light, form, and volume. The driving force in his work is pushing a sense of discovery that is enhanced by the formal elements found in the history of photography. His work plays with reality - revealing it, manipulating it, enhancing it, complicating it, making it lyrical or absurd. ideating with the definition of function Buescher creates images in 3 categories: with a lens, without a lens, and with a homemade lens, creating a dynamic range of non-traditional imagery. In that sense, the essence of digital photography becomes a paradox. He has exhibited in such places as Chicago, New York, and Richmond, VA.
