Decay of the Flowers
I created a series of portraits of flowers in various states of decomposition. I wanted to show them as graceful objects close to death; a state that is as absolute as it is uncomfortable. I treated them in the same manner as I would a person in front of the camera; I wanted each and every one of them to have their own personality and story to tell. I felt that through the process of aging they built their own style and identity. They lost their youth but gained something much more interesting and unique; They gained a majesty over their past.
